Construction and Commissioning of Chandigarh-to-Baddi New Broad Gauge Railway Line in Himachal Pradesh

Chandigarh-Baddi New Broad Gauge Railway Line project spans 30.295 kilometers, extending from chainage -2219 meters to 28076 meters, and focuses on civil works in the Haryana section to boost connectivity between Chandigarh and Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Commissioned by Northern Railway (NR) and executed under an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract, the project entails extensive earthworks involving 11.20 lakh cubic meters of filling, sub-grade, and blanket material, along with 1.20 lakh cubic meters of concrete. The construction includes four major bridges, a 12.725-kilometer viaduct split into five parts, and 15 minor bridges, complemented by seven limited height subways/road under bridges (LHS/RUB). Additionally, the project requires 18,000 metric tons of reinforcement/TMT and 24,000 metric tons of structural steel. It also encompasses the development of a station yard at Nanakpur and 38 residential units (35 Type-II and 3 Type-III). To ensure robust rail operations, 1.0 lakh cubic meters of ballast will be supplied, and 30.295 track kilometers (TKM) will be laid, alongside comprehensive signaling and telecommunication (S&T) works and overhead electrification (OHE) efforts.

We aims to enhance transportation efficiency, foster economic growth, and support regional development through advanced engineering and modern amenities.
