Srinagar Four-Lane Bypass

Rodic Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is supervising the construction of a four-lane Ring Road/Bypass around Srinagar city (Phase-I) from Km 0.00 to Km 42+100 under NHDP Phase VII in Jammu and Kashmir, as part of the Bharatmala Pariyojna. The project addresses the critical congestion on existing roads that serve as the primary access to districts like Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Ganderbal, and Bandipora. The current route to the airport is also heavily jammed, highlighting the need for the construction of new highway.

Our consultancy services involve assisting, supervising, and guiding the contractor to ensure timely and professional project completion. We are employing innovative techniques like the Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer (SAMI) and geo-composite materials to replace traditional filter media, enhancing the road's durability. The construction method includes cleaning the CTB surface, applying an elastomeric modified binder, spreading and compacting aggregates, and removing loose materials.

This new Outer Ring Road, starting approximately 9 km from the existing bypass's outer periphery and ending 8.5 km away, will alleviate congestion and improve connectivity to district headquarters and major roads in Pulwama, Budgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, and Bandipora. This project marks a significant step forward in enhancing regional infrastructure and quality of life.
