The corridor falls in Bharatmala Pariyojana in the state of Punjab, from Junction with Kapurthala-Sultanpur Lodhi Road (NH703A) near Isharwal village Ch 24+000 to MDR Junction at Ch. 40+900 Dhunda Village on EPC mode. This will be one of the iconic bridges in India having single span of 700m (up till now bridges in India don’t have a single span of more than 500m) with viewing gallery at 170m height on both pylons thus making this bridge as major tourist spot in upcoming future.
The project's major features include a 1.3 km cable-stay bridge over the Beas River with spans of 300 meters, 700 meters, and 300 meters. Additionally, it encompasses three minor bridges, 31 box culverts, 17 additional culverts, one wayside amenity, four vehicular underpasses (VUPs), six light vehicular underpasses (LVUPs), and four small vehicular underpasses (SVUPs).
Our role as Construction Supervision Consultant involves comprehensive services, including a detailed design review and the responsibility for managing and supervising the entire project. We are committed to ensuring the project is completed within the specified cost, schedule, quality, and safety standards outlined in the contract agreement. This bridge, with its impressive engineering and potential as a tourist destination, represents a significant step forward in India's infrastructure development.
We have implemented several bridge design changes to protect dolphin habitats.
These include conducting thorough environmental assessments to avoid critical habitats, incorporating noise reduction measures to minimize the impact of construction noise on dolphin communication and navigation, and adjusting bridge alignment to ensure unobstructed dolphin movement. Additionally, to promote tourism, a viewing gallery and a restaurant have been integrated into the bridge design, offering visitors a unique experience while raising awareness about the importance of dolphin conservation.
